How much can a filter take?

Cabin air filters are designed to filter out pollen or other contaminants whilst absorbing noxious odours and harmful gases, preventing them from entering the vehicle cabin - and the air you and your passengers breathe.

But if these filters are not checked and changed on a regular basis the filters become less effective and the build up of filtered debris begins to impact the amount of that fresh, filtered air entering the vehicle cabin.

Have a look at this filter taken from a little Kia Sportage we serviced recently.

We guess it is no surprise it is in such bad shape since the vehicle has not been properly serviced since March 2018. Caloundra recommend regular servicing by reputable mechanics so things like this dont get missed.

You might be tempted to try and replace your own cabin air filters but there are a few reasons why you should consider this approach very carefully.

Ask us about cabin Air Filter replacement when you book your car in for your next service and breathe easier knowing your passengers are breathing clean, filtered air.
